U.S. first lady's plane lands safely after 'mechanical' issue
(Reuters) - U.S. first lady Melania Trump’s airplane returned to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland after experiencing a “mechanical issue” on Wednesday, according to a CNN report.

About ten minutes after the plane took off, the cabin started filling with smoke and there was a smell of something burning, the report said, citing reporters who were on board.
The plane landed safely at its origin.
CNN said the White House did not immediately comment on what had happened.
Reuters was not immediately able to reach the first lady’s office for comment.
