UK govt unlikely to oppose push to put PM's Brexit vote pledge in writing - spokesman

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain’s government is unlikely to oppose on Wednesday a proposal that puts in writing Prime Minister Theresa May’s pledge to offer parliament a vote on a no deal Brexit or delay if her deal fails to win approval, her spokesman said.

The spokesman told reporters that the so-called amendment was not necessary as the prime minister has already made her promise but that the government was not likely to oppose it.
