London's Crossrail pushes back opening date again, eyes March 2021 at the latest
LONDON (Reuters) - London’s Crossrail pushed back its launch date again on Thursday, saying it was now hoping to open the line that will link the Canary Wharf financial district and Heathrow airport by the end of March 2021 at the latest.
The 15 billion pound flagship plan has been repeatedly delayed since it missed its original target date of December 2018.
Crossrail said in a statement it had identified a six-month window for delivery of the central section of the line, with a midpoint at the end of 2020.
