Fire at Taiwan hospital kills 9, injures 15

TAIPEI (Reuters) - A fire at a hospital in Taiwan killed nine people on Monday and injured 15, authorities said.

Premier William Lai was overseeing rescue efforts and an investigation into the cause of the blaze in New Taipei City had been launched, the government said.

Authorities said the fire had been extinguished. Media reported that it broke out on a floor for hospice care.
