Alabama senate delays vote on strict anti-abortion bill

(Reuters) - Alabama’s state senate on Thursday delayed a vote on the nation’s strictest abortion bill until Tuesday, a spokeswoman for a senator said.

The Washington Post previously reported the bill had passed, but instead the senate decided to take up the matter again on Tuesday, said Kim Robertson, a spokeswoman for Senator Tom Whatley.
